The past year I’ve been working more than full time for HB. On the side I teach piano, and also do more installations. In addition I perform at gigs very often.
I’ve worked on installations throughout the northeast. Clients include: Mass Mutual, Liberty Mutual, Harvard, Boston University, Vertex Pharm, TD Garden, Northeastern University TJX, Augusta, ME Law, Larcom theatre, Waltham Cable Access, Mansfield Cable Access.
I am currently working as a Videoconference Engineer at Partners Healthcare supporting telemedicine and distance education projects on a national and international level.
Before I started working at this job I worked for several years performing audiovisual setup and support for corporate and social events.
A professional audio / video engineer for 9 years, I’ve designed and engineered numerous whole-facility audiovisual systems. I’ve worked in the Pentagon configuring videoconferencing systems. I’ve worked in areas as far away as Monterey, Mexico, and Lassen Volcanic National Park in northern California. The customers I’ve worked with include Johns Hopkins University, the National Parks Service, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the International Monetary Fund.
I left full-time employment to deepen my knowledge of how business works by pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering Management at the University of Colorado. When I graduate in May of 2017, I will leave with a much stronger understanding of how business strategy is developed and deployed, as well as having learned a lot about leadership.
After spending 2 years doing sound design for AAA games with dSonic, Inc., I started freelancing and blogging about sound design.
- Spec Ops: The Line – dSonic had already been working on the game for a while when I joined them, so I was able to cut my teeth doing months of work on action set pieces and foley for cutscenes.
- BioShock Infinite – Irrational Games had dSonic do all the voice over mastering, and I lead 3 other engineers in cleaning up and balancing the game’s thousands of lines.
- Blogging – I’ve always liked having companies come to me instead of the other way around, so I’ve been building my name as a sound design authority through my website to attract new clients.
I recently got my first major contract through my website!

Since graduating, I’ve started my own company doing mostly short run vinyl records. The process is totally wacky, but it results in an immediately playable record. I get a lot of business from smaller bands and labels that can’t afford a larger run of records, or people who just want to make something unique and collectable. I get to do a bit of recording, mixing, mastering as well to stay in this century as far as technology. The studio I rent a room in cuts master lacquers to be pressed, and I’m slowly learning that art as well.
I do short run work for a number of labels and bands including:
Broken World Media (CT), Driftwood Records (OR), Jumpstart Records (PA), Paper And Plastick (FL), Old Gray (NH), The World Is A Beautiful Place and I’m No Longer Afraid To Die (CT), Dads (NJ), Plow United (PA), Self Defense Family, etc.
I split my time between working at THAT Corporation/dbx-tv on television & consumer electronics audio enhancement technology, playing the drums in an ever-changing list of extremely loud bands, and teaching Audio Theory/Acoustics courses at Bay State College and the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
Outside of the professional endeavors, I’m a budding digital photographer and videographer, aspiring bassist, and an outdoor recreation enthusiast.
After doing post production for commercials for 3 years at Soundtrack Boston I moved to Soundtrack NYC in 2006. I’ve been working all aspects of film and TV projects since. I’ve been keeping myself busy bouncing from sound design to editorial to ADR to mixing.
Most of my recent work is updated on my IMDB page here:
