Before graduation from UMass Lowell, I was offered a position at the University and decided to stay on as staff after graduation. I work in media production primarily for the String Project, but happily take any mixing and production projects that come across my desk from the SRT department.
I am the EIC (engineer-in-charge) of Game Creek’s Encore, the world’s first large-scale IP-based routing system spread across three remote television production studios on wheels. Over the course of my seven years with Game Creek Video, I have worked my way up from building and repairing cables in the shop to dishing out equipment on 4 camera college basketball games to EIC of the 119 camera US Open at Chambers Bay. While sports broadcast is not necessarily where I saw myself going after college, I have managed to find an ever-challenging, ever-changing, and fulfilling career. It has allowed me to take a solid troubleshooting background and apply it not only to audio, but to hone my skills in video and computer networking as well. I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best in this industry and it has pushed me to be the best that I can be in order to service their needs, whatever they may be.
I am currently a freelance Audio Engineer/Mixer and Producer for the commercial, broadcast, and film post-production industries. After nearly 10 years at one of NYC’s top commercial audio post houses, Sound Lounge, I recently left to work on the Sochi Olympics and then work for myself. I work either at my clients’ production facilities, or at my home studio. Current clients include NBC Sports, MSNBC, WWE, CBS News, Saatchi & Saatchi, Persistent Productions, to name a few.
I also run a production collective on the side. Working with a team of long-standing industry partners and friends, we handle full production on audio and video projects with a backbone in education or social awareness.

- Audio post mixing for NBC network’s promotional coverage of 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games

Leaving a staff gig of many years to doing my own thing!
Pro Tools Tech, most of our clients are score mixers. I go to different studios and scoring stages in LA and setup, calibrate and mantain Pro Tools Rigs. Sony scoring stage’s setup is ours and some of Fox is our as well. So I get to hang on a lot of those sessions which is pretty amazing as my ultimate goal is film/tv/game scoring.
I have had the opportunity to tech and support a lot of big scoring sessions and mixes. John Williams, Hanz Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Randy Newman, Daft Punk (Tron), John Powell and plenty other cats. Our man mixing client is Shawn Murphy we setup his Pro Tools Rigs for mixes as well as scoring, for most of his work.
Currently, I’m a freelance engineer working in the Lowell/ Boston area. I wear many hats, including: live sound for music and corporate events, studio recording/mixing, audio book recording/mixing, and stagehand work for touring national folk festivals.
My most regular work comes from being the regular engineer for multiple vendors specializing in reinforcement for GB bands.
My most bizarre work comes from Nuance, where I use custom-built software to make automated voice technology sound more human.
