Position Summary:
Event Management is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Event Production and Technology Specialist. The Event Production and Technology Specialist holds the responsibility of providing oversight, expertise and direction on all technical requirements for events that are identified as (including but not limited to) highly complex/high priority events. Examples of these events can include Presidential, SVP, VP and Dean level events, Mission Critical Events and Orientations.
Reporting to the Director of Operations for Event Management, this Event Production and Technology Specialist will also assist in all areas of support related to managing events in the Major Event Venues like the Curry Student, Blackman Auditorium, Fenway Center and afterHOURS as well as providing supplemental support at times to Northeastern’s Information Technology Services (I.T.S.) for technical oversight of the East Village Conference Rooms. The Event Production and Technology Specialist will perform a variety of technical and professional support services related to the major venues including event production, maintenance, and operation in support of presentations, student programs, and other university-sponsored campus and public events.
This individual will be required to foster ongoing successful relationships with key executives and the executive support staff to proactively plan and manage events.
The incumbent will also participate in project development and roll out and implementation of new technology, as well as, provide expert consultation on technology both current and future to various event venues. To ensure that essential services are provided to key Northeastern executives, the employee will be required to work outside his/her regular working hours and on some university holidays.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in related field. 6-8 years of experience with executive level event support is required. Extensive experience is preferred for supporting Crestron equipment, Audio DSP (digital signal processor), Q-Lab and ProTools 10.0 software, ETC Ion Consoles, Yamaha Digital Soundboards, Roland and Barco seamless switching systems, video conferencing, theatrical lighting and sound, fly systems a plus.
The position requires a logical and structured approach to troubleshooting and decision making with an emphasis on superior customer service at an executive level. Highest level of Customer Service experience including excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required. Must work well under pressure.
Must be adept and passionate about learning new technologies and services. A flexible schedule is a must as high level/mission critical events may be scheduled in the evenings, on holidays, and weekends.
